Not every website event needs an immediate notification. Siteligent lets you control which types of alerts are sent to each connected Slack, Telegram, or Email configuration, so you can keep urgent incidents separate from routine activity.
Choose Which Alerts You Receive
Siteligent organizes notifications into twelve event categories. Each category can be enabled or disabled independently for your connected notification configurations.
Uptime Monitor: Notifies you when a monitored site goes down or comes back online. These are immediate uptime events and are useful for tracking availability.
Site Status: Alerts you when Siteligent detects a server outage or site-down condition.
Plugin Connection: Notifies you when Siteligent loses its connection to the Siteligent Connector after consecutive authentication checks fail.
Security Alert: Notifies you when a security scan discovers new critical or high-severity vulnerabilities that require attention.
Backup: Provides notifications for automated and manual backups, including successful, paused, and failed backup activity.
SSL Certificate: Alerts you when an SSL certificate is approaching expiration or when Siteligent detects that the certificate has been modified.
Domain Expiry: Provides domain expiration warnings, including notifications at 30 days and 7 days before expiration.
Update: Sends summaries when WordPress core, plugin, or theme updates have been completed.
Performance: Provides notifications related to scheduled PageSpeed performance scans.
Support Ticket: Sends updates related to your Siteligent support and help requests.
Configure Notifications for Each Channel
Notification preferences are configured separately for each connected notification channel.
For example, you might configure:
Telegram: Critical operational alerts only
Slack: Operational alerts plus updates and performance notifications
Email: A broader set of notifications for record keeping
This lets your team decide where each type of information belongs instead of sending every event to every channel.
Telegram Default Notifications
Telegram configurations are initially subscribed only to the higher-priority alert categories:
Uptime
Backups
SSL
Domain expiry
Security
Connection lost
Routine performance and update notifications are excluded by default, keeping the Telegram feed focused on alerts that are more likely to require immediate action. You can change the notification mode or individual notification preferences if you want Telegram to receive additional alert types.
Keep Alert Times in Your Local Timezone
Siteligent uses your user profile timezone when generating notification timestamps. Monitoring event times are converted to your local IANA timezone before being sent to Slack or Telegram.
If notification times don't match your local time, check that your timezone is correctly configured in Account Settings.
Recommended Setup
A practical setup for most teams is to keep Telegram focused on critical alerts, use Slack for broader operational activity, and use Email when you want a longer notification record.
The important part is that you don't have to choose one notification channel for everything. Siteligent lets you decide which events should reach each channel.
