Manage Your Siteligent Account

Update your account information, password, dashboard preferences, notification settings, and other personal security options.

Written by Surya

Your Siteligent account contains your personal information, login settings, preferences, and security options. These settings are separate from the Teams and websites you manage.

You can update your account details and manage your personal settings from your profile.

Open Your Account Settings

To access your personal account settings:

  1. Log in to your Siteligent Dashboard.

  2. Click Settings option in the sidebar.

  3. Select Profile.

From here, you can manage your personal account information and preferences.

Update Your Account Information

You can update details such as your:

  • Full name

  • Business email address

  • Phone number

If you change the email address associated with your account, Siteligent may require you to verify the new address before the change takes effect.

Change Your Password

You can change your Siteligent password from your account settings. You'll need to enter your current password and then provide your new password.

For security, choose a strong password that you don't use for other services.

Choose Your Dashboard Theme

You can change how the Siteligent dashboard looks by selecting your preferred theme at the bottom of the sidebar:

  • Light

  • Dark

Manage Your Notification Preferences

You can control which notifications Siteligent sends you from the Notifications tab in your account settings.

These preferences let you decide which website events, task activities, and email updates you want to receive.

Website Notifications

Under your notification preferences, you can choose which website events should trigger email notifications.

Available options include:

  • Site Down Alerts - Get notified when one of your websites goes offline.

  • Site Connection Lost Alerts - Get notified when Siteligent loses its connection to a website, such as when the Connector is unavailable or the site cannot be reached.

  • Backup Notifications - Receive notifications about backup activity and status.

  • Admin User Change Notifications - Get notified when administrator users are added to or removed from your WordPress websites.

  • SSL Certificate Expiry Alerts - Receive alerts when an SSL certificate is approaching expiration or has already expired.

  • Domain Expiry Alerts - Get notified when a domain registration is approaching expiration.

  • Security Scan Alerts - Receive an email when a security scan detects vulnerabilities on your websites.

  • PHP Error Alerts - Get notified when PHP errors are detected on your websites.

You can enable or disable each notification type based on the alerts you want to receive.

Task Board Notifications

You can also choose which Task Board activities generate notifications for you.

Available options include:

  • Task Assigned to You - Get notified when a team member assigns a task to you.

  • Task Status Changes - Get notified when a task you created or are assigned to changes status.

  • Task Completed - Get notified when a task you created is marked as completed by someone else.

  • New Comments - Get notified when someone comments on a task you created or are assigned to.

  • @Mentions - Get notified when someone mentions you in a task comment.

  • Task Due Reminders - Get notified 24 hours before a task assigned to you is due.

These settings help you stay up to date with tasks without having to constantly check the Task Board.

Notification Channels

In addition to email notifications, Siteligent supports external notification channels for real-time alerts.

Available integrations include:

Slack

  • Connect Slack to send WordPress and website notifications to your selected Slack channels.

  • Go to: Settings → Notifications → Slack

Webhooks

  • Use webhooks to send Siteligent notifications to an external HTTP endpoint. This can be useful when you want to connect Siteligent notifications to another application or automation system.

  • Go to: Settings → Notifications → Webhooks

Telegram

  • Connect Telegram to receive important alerts directly on your mobile device.

  • Telegram alerts can include critical events such as:

    • Site downtime

    • Backup failures

    • SSL certificate expiry

    • Domain expiry

  • Go to: Settings → Notifications → Telegram

Email Digest

If you don't want individual emails for every event, you can receive a periodic summary of your websites' activity instead.

The email digest can include information about:

  • Site status

  • Updates applied

  • Backups

  • Uptime

  • Administrator user changes

  • SSL certificate expiry warnings

  • Domain expiry warnings

You can choose from four digest options:

  • Monthly - Sent on the 1st of each month.

  • Weekly - Sent every Monday morning.

  • Both - Receive both weekly and monthly summaries.

  • Disabled - No digest emails are sent.

Where to Manage Notifications

All of these preferences are available from the Notifications tab in your account settings.

From there, you can manage your email preferences, Task Board notifications, external notification channels, and email digest settings in one place.

Keep Your Account Secure

A few simple steps can help keep your Siteligent account secure:

  • Use a strong, unique password.

  • Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA).

  • Review your active sessions periodically.

  • Revoke sessions you no longer recognize or need.
