Manage Team Roles and Permissions

Understand team roles, manage member permissions, and control access to specific Projects and websites.

Written by Surya

Siteligent uses team roles to control what each person can access and manage. Assign a role based on the responsibilities the user has within your Team.

Available Team Roles

  • Owner: The Owner has full control over the Team, including billing and subscription settings.

  • Manager: Managers have administrative access for managing websites and team members. They can add or remove sites, invite users, and manage other team-level settings.

  • Collaborator: Collaborators handle day-to-day website operations, such as running updates, managing backups, and checking site information.

  • Viewer: Viewer have read-only access. They can view connected websites and reports but cannot make changes, run backups, or apply updates.

Restrict Access to Specific Projects

A user's team role doesn't necessarily mean they need access to every website. For Managers, Collaborators, and Viewers, you can restrict access to specific Projects. For example, you can give a developer the Collaborator role while limiting their access to a staging Project instead of your production sites.

Choose the combination of role + project access that matches what each team member actually needs.
